In very few selected places in bangalore Durga Puja is celebrated by small communitites of dedicated bengalis.Shree Kalyan mantap is one of them.Location - Jp nagar 3rd phase.
This is my third year in bangalore.Ihadn't seen durga puja since i left my home in 2012.This time i really wished to be at home in Durga Puja but for some reasons couldnt. After searching over the internet i found this place in JP Nagar where they celebrate Durga Puja.
the Protima wasnt really that impressive in size but i was meeting maa durga after 3 years..joining hands i prayed..it was ashtami evening.Usually in our place we get bhog at evening on ashtami however here bhog was served only during noon..so we decided on coming back to the place next afternoon.
The next afternoon was navami.Bhog was served free.I went with my friend had khichuri bhog with chutni sabji papad.Payasa was over..The taste was almost the same.We werent disappointed at all.
By the time we finished the bhog, people had started the "thakur boron" as navamii and dashmi fell up on the same date. hence ashtami navami dasmi we saw all of durga puja.I missed home.. but thanks to the organizing committee that i had a glimpse of pujo in bangalore.
